Fall Break (day 3) Disneyland/California Adventure

 So beside the fact that I am way behind on keeping my blog updated, I am also so computer illiterate that all my pics are out of order and I don't know how to fix it, so yes I am a dork, but you already knew that huh.  Brig and Dallin posing with Mr. Incredible (Alden was apparently too cool and wouldn't get in the picture).

 In the morning grabbing some breakfast before we headed into the park.  We tried to stay cheap by packing alot of our own food.  Next time we will remember to stay at a hotel with a free breakfast!

 Brig always has a silly face when he knows you are taking his picture so I really loved this pic of him cuz it is so natural and his real happy smile.

 While I know that I am the most ridiculous looking in these pics and if I knew how to crop pictures I might have just removed myself from it, I had to post it cuz the boys looked so cute.

 I absolutely love Brigs face in this picture.  Mine is pretty funny too.  Too bad there are a couple old guys we don't know in with us.

Fall Break at the beach (day 2)

So we exhausted ourselves staying at Disneyland until almost midnight the first night so we decided to take a lazy day and go to the beach for day #2 so we could recuperate a little...

 It was fun to watch dolphins out in the ocean jumping up out of the water.  There were a whole bunch of them and I was so surprised; they were so close we could see them from the pier.  I guess I assumed you had to go a little farther out to see stuff like that.

 Lila wanted to get down soooo bad and I wouldn't let her (way to paranoid for that! I could hardly stand having the boys out on the pier, they are such monkeys I was sure someone was going to end up in the water) so she was kicking against me and her shoe went flying off (one of my favorite pairs) and straight into the water.  The boys are just watching it.  Alden thought we should ask one of the guys fishing to get it with their fishing pole, ha ha if only that would have worked! Lila is pointing to her shoe for daddy to see while the boys stare on trying to think of a way to get it.

 We went into one of the shops and luckily they had a cute pair of flip flops for a decent price so we were good to go again!  Lila is definately a girl and says "shoe" over and over. She loves to have shoes on her feet, so she was thrilled to death with her new purchase. We could be in trouble with this girl. She is way to young for that!

 Playing at the beach.  Lila loved it.  She wanted to get in all the way. She didn't really get that the water would keep coming back cuz everytime it would go down she would want to follow it.  It was so much fun watching her.  She is such a daddy's girl so I kind of lucked out on this trip cuz she wants Scott for everything.  That is nice for a change after three boys who preferred me over him!

 Alden and Dallin playing in the waves.  They were way to daring for me and I was sure one of them would be pulled out to sea and drown.  I love the beach but not with kids. I am way to scared of water for that.  I think I was a nervous wreck by time we left!!

 Brig got knocked over by the very first wave and it scared him half to death, so he spent the rest of the time far away from the water just playing in the sand and was very happy when we decide to leave.

Dallin waiting for a wave to come.  We had such a good time looking in the shops and relaxing. We swam in the hotel pool and had an easy day so we could go back to Disneyland for one last day!  More of that to come the next time I have a few minutes to sit down and blog again!

Fall Break trip to Disneyland (day 1)

 We were lucky enough to get to go with Ryan & Heidi's family to Disneyland over fall break.  The kids were so excited and were so well behaved and helpful the week before going trying to earn "Disney Dollars" with their reward cards. It was great!

 We stopped at this Dinosaur park place on the way there.  The kids thought it was fun to see how big dino's really were.  It was a nice place to stop and stretch for awhile after being in the car for several hours.

 Yea Disneyland! I think it is some sort of tradition or something that you have to take your picture in front of the Mickey flowerbed.  We were not very patient to wait for a good spot closer in, though, so we just settled for off to the side a little.

 The boys were not excited to pose for any pictures; they just wanted to get to the rides! 

 Scott and Brig riding the Dumbo ride (with Ryker's little head up in the corner!)  I am the worst camera man EVER! and the other boys wouldn't come down to get their pics taken so we didn't get any of them. 

 The boys on the tea cups.  I hate any ride that spins around in circles.  I can handle any other ride but I don't do circles, and since Lila was really not enjoying any of the other rides we had been on she sat out with me.

 So I always make my kids wear matching clothes when we go somewhere crowded and I get made fun of (which I am fine with) but then if one of them gets lost or something I know right away what they are wearing.  This time it paid off! The boys all three got picked to go up and be padawan jedi people.  They call the kids out of the audience to participate by describing what they are wearing and he said "will the 3 boys in matching red USA shirts come up?"  I was so excited! I was just hoping that one of them would get to do it. They were so excited and it was the highlight of the trip.  Brig looked scared to death and I was sure he was going to burst into tears but he didn't; he was great!  Ryker got picked to go up too which was such a relief. I would have felt so bad if he would have been the only one of the boys left out.

 Dallin fighting Darth Vader! They were not very nice to him and knocked the light saber out if his hand twice.  Apparently that is part of the show but he was a little upset about it until Uncle Ryan expained to him that they did it on purpose to make a joke about it.

 Alden was lucky enough to fight Darth Maul.  He is a very scary looking guy!

 Poor Lila had to take her naps in the stroller.  Luckily the stroller is awesome! Thanks Elena! It reclines all the way and has a huge shade covering on top.  She was a real trooper and while Scott spoils her and held her way too much she really did a good job.

The Marble family with Mickey Mouse!  We had a great day and the kids were so tired they fell asleep waiting for their dinner to come to our table while we waited outside for the light show to start and they slept 1/2 way through the show before they woke up to catch the end of it and get a little something to eat.

Brig's 5th birthday!

 Brig and his cousin Logan have birthdays that are just 4 days apart so they get to share b-day parties sometimes.  They think that is so much fun! Logan turned 6 and Brig turned 5 this year and we celebrated at Peter Piper Pizza.  We invited all the cousins that are their age from the Marble family and had a great time.

 Brig originally wanted a party at the park with a pinata but was able to get talked into going to Peter Piper instead by his lazy mom who didn't want to mess with all the cleanup and work.  Since Brig and Logan invited the same group of kids and Sandee and I split the cost it was actually a pretty cheap party.  (Yes, I am cheap and I am fully aware of that!)

 Brig and Logan got a lot of matching presents.  That is so fun for them since they like the same things and play well together anyway. Now they don't have to take turns and share, they each have their own stuff!

The birthday boys scarfing down their cupcakes!  We forgot candles but sang to them anyway.  I think they had a really good time together and they are so lucky to be such good buddies and get to celebrate their b-day's together!

Soccer Season has begun...

 Lila is a trooper.  She has done really well with all the practices and games she gets dragged along to.  She loves it outside and like to kick a ball around herself. 

 This is Brig's first year playing.  He loves it and does a great job.  He averages a couple goals every game.  His team is the "blue sharks" and he knows a couple kids on his team, which makes it nice for me when we have two games at once. 

 Alden is playing soccer for the 4th year now.  He is on the green viper team.  He is so much smaller than the other boys but always tries hard and has a lot of fun. 

 Dallin is playing for the 2nd time.  He is on the red fireball team.  He is very competitive and can be really hard on himself.  (We may be in trouble when he gets older).  He is a great soccer player and always does a great job.  He tries hard to please his coach. 

We are so proud of all of our boys for putting in so much time and effort into practices and games.  They have a good time and we have a good time watching them.
