Marble family talent show/ papa & Alden's bday party

Gpa Steve and Alden share a birthday.  This year to celebrate we took them out to dinner at Red Robin (Alden's pick) and then we all got together at the Wilson's home for a fun talent show.

 After getting everyone gathered together Scott was our announcer.

 Uncle Larry was one of the favorites with is impromptue violin solo.  Pretty impressive considering he has never had lessons.

My talent was organizing the whole thing.  Ha ha ha!  This was the only pic I was in that I didn't look totally stupid in.  I was dancing with Avery. He is so cute dancing he swings his arms around kind of like he is leading the music or something.  Wish I would have had a better picture of him doing that!  There were a ton more talents that I didn't have good pics of to post.  It was a lot of fun and I think/hope everyone had a good time.  We may just have to do it again someday!  Happy Birthday Alden and Papa!

A day at the zoo

Aunt Kim has a season pass to the zoo and some extra guest tickets so we took an afternoon while there was one last cool day and went to the zoo.  It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun.  The big kids all went to school so it was just the little kids and Gavin & Jalyn got to ditch kindergarten to come too.

We had a really good day.  It was lots of fun to hang out with just the younger kids and take our time.  Thanks for the fun time Aunt Kim!

Family Photo Shoot

 My amazing sister-in-law, Elena, took some fabulous pics of our family.  I am really excited about them.  The only problem is I can't narrow down to what my favorite ones are to print so if anyone wants to give their opinion I at least got it narrowed down this far.  We owe Elena big time, not only did she take amazing photos and then do a wonderful job with her photoshop skills but she also had to go shopping with me to find the perfect outfits for the whole family.  I hate shopping and I am not good at coordinating clothes.  This comes very naturally to Elena and I think I have decided I will have to con her into any future shopping trips I might have.  She has a great sense of fashion and what goes together.  I was totally impressed with her shopping abilities.  Thank you so much Elena!  We love love love our pictures!  if anyone wants to see more of her work you can check out her blog at http://www.thurstonphotographs.blogspot.com/

Brig's preschool graduation party

 Mrs. Ambers preschool class had a fun party on the last day of school at Peter Piper Pizza.  The kids had a great time. 

 Brig was lucky enough to have daddy drop by to eat lunch with him before he went to work.

 The whole preschool class: Ryker, Kaden, Brig, Lilly, Morgan, Derrick, Sadee, and Kamry.  They were a really good group of kids. 

Brig loves Mrs. Amber and while he is so very excited to be in kindergarten after three years of preschool with her he is really going to miss her.  We think she is so amazing and love her and her family so much.  Hopefully we will get to see her around a lot and we will cross our fingers that she is still going to be teaching in a couple years when lila is ready for preschool!  This will actually be the first year since Alden was 3 that we have not had anyone in preschool!  It might be nice to have the extra money around! Ha ha

Dallin's "Let's play music" recital

 Dallin did a really great job in lets play music this year.  He has an amazing teacher that does a great job and really seems to love what she is doing.  He seems to have a thing for music and really enjoys it.  He is excited to start taking guitar lessons too.  It is funny to watch how much my kids hate to be the center of attention though.  No smiling they look like it is torture to be in front of everyone singing and performing.  Poor kids are way too shy!

Our newest find

 Well we were out for a walk the few weeks back on a Saturday morning just spending some time as a family and Scott came across and caught (amazingly enough. I wish I would have had a video camera for the chase!) this little ground squirrel.  Scott thought he might be hurt or something and it appeared to be a baby and so he decided to take care of it.  he ended up getting a mouse to be his friend and a little cage for them to live in.  he is really cute and friendly just so long as we don't all get a disease from him or something! 

Easter 2011

 I have been awful at blogging since we have moved in with Scott's parents.  I have to use the laptop which I am not as familiar with as our other computer and I couldn't even figure out how to get things to work right for a long time.  I finally got things going so hopefully there will be a month and 1/2 of stuff to catch up on here soon!  Lila looked so cute in her Easter dress.  She is really a little princess.  The boys all got new ties but their suits were still fitting good.  Somehow I had a brain fart though and didn't get a picture of all the kids together.

 Easter egg hunting.  Sunday evening the Marble clan got together for a yummy dinner and an egg hunt for the kids.  They had a blast.  It is always fun to watch the kids run around and find the eggs.

 There were plenty of eggs for everyone to find.  Papa and Grandma have a great back yard with lots of space and lots of hiding spots.

 The last egg to be found.  Everyone thought Scott was crazy when he insisted there was one more egg left.  It took like 30 minutes or more for it to finally be found.  It was hiding by my bike chain do you see it???

Lila and Avery just having a great time all sugared up on candy!  We had a great time playing and having fun but we are most especially thankful for the opportunity we had to reflect on our Saviour and the resurection and we are glad we have the opportunity to be together forever someday.
