Shields

For pack meeting during the summer the boys were suppose to bring a shield and they had "sock wars" it was so fun to watch.  Scott being the awesome dad he is helped all three boys make a shield and even let them pick what they wanted them to look like. It was a really fun pack meeting. The boys all had a great time.
Alden wanted to make a traditional looking shield that was black with a lightening bolt.
Captain America was out in theatres so of coarse our little super hero wanted to have a Captain America shield.
Dallin chose to do the CTR shield.  They all turned out really well.  I was very impressed like I always am with Scotts creativity.  He is such an awesome dad!

Sleepover at Uncle Chad's

The boys love their Thurston cousins and the think it is so fun to spend the night with Jonah and Marcus.  They woke up to a surprise during one of their summer sleepovers though.  Uncle chad painted all the boys toe nails while they were sleeping.  The funny part though is that when dallin woke up and noticed his toes he was totally embarassed and didn't want to show anyone.  He put one sock on but couldn't find the other one so he was walking around trying to hide his foot and Uncle Chad was trying to get him to say what was wrong.  It wasn't until he realized all the other boys had their toes painted too that he thought it was funny.  Silly boys even let me take a picture!

Lila turned 2!

For Lila's 2nd birthday we invited the Marble family over.  Scott and the boys had a blast making a pinata. It was very interesting to say the least! hee hee! The kids all had a great time taking their turn swinging at it.
Lila picking up some treats that fell out of the pinata.  She was in heaven with all the candy and stuff.
Daddy decorated Lila's cake to look like a mickey head.  Good thing one of her parents are creative.
Lila posing for the camera.  I found the teira in the party section at walmart and got it just for fun.  She loved it and wore it the whole night.  It was so funny.  She is definately a girly girl.
Lila had a fun birthday and got lots of fun toys and presents. Thanks everyone for helping us celebrate.

Lila's First Haircut!

Lila got her first haircut on June 3rd 2011.  She had the whole mullet thing going on and while I loved her cute little curls in the back it was time to get a real style!  I was chicken though so I had to make Tanya cut it while I helped Lila sit still.

 The "before" picture.
With the cape on sitting so good like a big girl.
 Aunt Tanya working her magic.
Tada! The finished style.  Super cute but short short.  I love it and think it is great but I also hope it grows fast!  Thanks Wendy for taking the pics for us!

Marble family talent show/ papa & Alden's bday party

Gpa Steve and Alden share a birthday.  This year to celebrate we took them out to dinner at Red Robin (Alden's pick) and then we all got together at the Wilson's home for a fun talent show.
After getting everyone gathered together Scott was our announcer.
Uncle Larry was one of the favorites with is impromptue violin solo.  Pretty impressive considering he has never had lessons.
Dallin and Alden demonstrated headstands for us.
Lorissa and Mariah did a fabulous violin/cello duet.
Lila kept thinking seh wanted a turn she was dancing singing playing the piano every chance she got.
 Alden playing the piano.
Alden playing "in the jungle" on his guitar.
Kara, Jalyn, Jenna and Kamille doing a cheer for everyone.
Lila and Lindsey singing "The wheels on the bus".
Group shot, Amanda on the piano.
Ryker and Brig doing their karate moves.
Alexa playing the guitar and singing a Taylor Swift song with Jalyn, Jenna and Holly.
Dallin playing a song her learned in Let's play music this year.
The Wilson family: Lindsey, Gavin, Garret, Kim, Megan, Glen, Amanda and Kamille singing a cute song together as a family.
Megan and Glen singing "Last Kiss" by Taylor Swift.  They did awesome!
Grandpa and Alden blowing out their candles together.
My talent was organizing the whole thing.  Ha ha ha!  This was the only pic I was in that I didn't look totally stupid in.  I was dancing with Avery. He is so cute dancing he swings his arms around kind of like he is leading the music or something.  Wish I would have had a better picture of him doing that!  There were a ton more talents that I didn't have good pics of to post.  It was a lot of fun and I think/hope everyone had a good time.  We may just have to do it again someday!  Happy Birthday Alden and Papa!

A day at the zoo

Aunt Kim has a season pass to the zoo and some extra guest tickets so we took an afternoon while there was one last cool day and went to the zoo.  It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun.  The big kids all went to school so it was just the little kids and Gavin & Jalyn got to ditch kindergarten to come too.
Lindsey and Lila looking at the giraffes and zebras.

Lila looking at the duck.  She impressed me because she walked most every where.  she had so much fun looking at the animals.  I couple of them we had a hard time dragging her away from.  She really loves to look at animals.
All the kids posing for a picture.  Lila, Brig, Ryker, Lindsey, Avery, Jalyn and Gavin.
Papa and grandma came along for the fun of it too.  Grandpa helped Lila pet the animals.
The kids had so much fun brushing the goats and seeing them close up.
 Double headed turtle!
 What beautiful pearls!
 Brig taming the gator.
We had a really good day.  It was lots of fun to hang out with just the younger kids and take our time.  Thanks for the fun time Aunt Kim!

Family Photo Shoot

My amazing sister-in-law, Elena, took some fabulous pics of our family.  I am really excited about them.  The only problem is I can't narrow down to what my favorite ones are to print so if anyone wants to give their opinion I at least got it narrowed down this far.  We owe Elena big time, not only did she take amazing photos and then do a wonderful job with her photoshop skills but she also had to go shopping with me to find the perfect outfits for the whole family.  I hate shopping and I am not good at coordinating clothes.  This comes very naturally to Elena and I think I have decided I will have to con her into any future shopping trips I might have.  She has a great sense of fashion and what goes together.  I was totally impressed with her shopping abilities.  Thank you so much Elena!  We love love love our pictures!  if anyone wants to see more of her work you can check out her blog at http://www.thurstonphotographs.blogspot.com/
