Take Me Out To The Ball Game! (VIP style)

So for the 1st and most likely only time in our lives we were able to sit in a suite at the Diamond Backs baseball game! For us poor people who never get to do this kind of thing it was so exciting! Thank you Thank you, Thank you to Aunt Darla and Uncle Scott who invited us to share the evening with them.  I will never want to sit in the normal seats again! Equipped with our own private bathroom and not shoulder to shoulder with the people next to you I am sold on this being the only way to watch a game with young children.
The boys had a blast and hardly moved form the front row. I think they actually watched most of the game too.  They had so much fun hanging out with their cousins and eating totally kid friendly food (hot dogs and chicken strips, chips and all the soda pop they could imagine wanting).
This fun event even got gpa Brad and gma Alice out if the house!  I had more fun eating and socializing than actually watching the game.  It was so fun to visit with Darla and get caught up on her family.
Thank goodness for the bathroom!!  I think the kids had three pops each. We lucked out too because the suite next to ours was empty so we didn't have to pay super close attention to who our kids may have been annoying.  Scott and Darla even got everyone a dessert off this awesome dessert cart that came around.  It was so yummy and they had so many things to choose from it was hard to even decide what to get.
Lila literally ate all night.  That girl is tiny but she sure knows how to eat.  I can't believe she can fit so much down her.  The only ones missing out of my family were Chase and Liz, apparently Chase wasn't able to get off work early and since they live so far away it wasn't worth the drive to get there for the last few innings and then have to get home for their kids to get to bed for school.  I am still recovering though.  I was very tempted to let my kids sleep in and go to school late but then the thought occured to me that they would all be bringing home make up work if I did that. That thought got me to jump out of bed rather quickly.  The only inccident of the evening was poor Hyrum throwing up all over Tara.  Dallin was meeting her there from work and didn't even get to come up she had been puked on twice by time he got there and just meet him outside and went home.  We were sad for them it was a bummer to miss them there when we all had such a good time.  Our family had such a good time, the boys will always remember this night!  All I have heard from Brig all day is Aunt Darla this.. and Aunt Darla that... He is now on the count down to our family reunion up in Salt Lake this winter with his new best friend!
P.S. these are the best pics we got since I am not the best camera person and Scott was too busy actually watching the game to take too many pictures but it is better than nothing I guess!

  1. Jaime's right, it was a fun evening. Uncle Scott and Aunt Darla showed us all such a great time. You are definately the favorite of all the kids now. Thanks again Scott and Darla.
